Hi I’m Eve and on 27th March this year I started a digital marketing apprenticeship at Infused Media and now that I’ve been here for over a month, I figured it was time to introduce myself.
About Me
I was born and bred in a Lancashire village called Whitworth and brought up in a loving family with an older brother and sister.
We were all members of the local amateur dramatics society and often performed in shows together.
When I have a little free time, I like to sit down a focus on creating some art work- mainly realism drawings.
I originally studied art and design at college in 2014 but decided after a year that the course wasn’t for me.
I explored the healthcare sector working as a Care Assistant in clients own homes, hospitals and private nursing homes for 18 months whilst I figured out the career path I wanted to go down.
How I Started my Journey with Infused Media
After spending months trying to find an apprenticeship in an area I found interesting and feeling a little deflated that nothing had popped up, my partner suggested completing a digital marketing apprenticeship and I fell in love with the idea.
I spent the night designing and creating a CV and sent it off with application forms to potential employers and training providers and was asked to attend an interview with a training provider just a week later. Whilst I was there, the opportunity arose to interview at Infused Media.
I immediately agreed and interviewed with Martyn (the Marketing Director) on the same day.
The Interview
As I was interviewing for a Level 3 apprenticeship, the interview process was a little more relaxed than I had previously experienced and felt more like a general conversation about why I was interested in digital marketing.
Myself and Martyn immediately got along and I knew when I left my interview that if I was offered the position, I would accept.
I met Lucy (the Creative Director) a few days later and after completing a successful trial day, I was offered the job.
My Job Role
Currently, I am mainly working directly with Lucy and focusing on basic SEO techniques and content writing. However, I have also touched on using Photoshop to create social media images and attended a few seminars at a business expo that discussed the benefits of digital and social media marketing.
Once I have settled in a little more, I will be delving further into all aspects of digital marketing and will have completed my apprenticeship by March 2018.
Thoughts So Far
So far, I’m really enjoying the role and am certain I chose the correct career path for me.
Martyn and Lucy are both fantastic teachers and I have had continuous support in everything I’ve been doing.
I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me and hope to become a fantastic digital marketer and build a successful career.
